Below are links to Language Calendars. The activities are designed to take only a few minutes and can be done multiple times per day. As you interact with your child, valuable listening skills and vocabulary skills are being built. The following are a few suggestions on how to use your monthly calendar.
- Place the calendar where you and your child will see it daily- on your refrigerator, next to your phone, etc.
- Compliment your child for paying attention; relating what was heard to what he or she already knows; and remembering.
- If you can’t do a particular activity on a given day, substitute one for another, do two the next day, etc.
- Feel free to repeat these activities on other days or multiple times per day.
